How to choose the right cream for dry feet
Not all foot creams are created equal, and for very dry heels, the choice of formula truly changes the result. Here is what matters for making the right choice.

Urea: the ingredient that makes the difference
On thick, dry skin, standard body creams are often not enough. Look for formulas containing urea, generally between 10% and 25% depending on the thickness of the skin to be treated; it is one of the few active ingredients capable of effectively retaining moisture in a thickened stratum corneum.
Shea butter, glycerin, salicylic acid
Shea butter and glycerin provide comfort and reduce daily tightness. Salicylic acid, in small quantities, helps soften highly keratinized areas; however, it should be avoided in cases of wounds or diabetes without medical advice.

Cream alone is not enough
Even the best formula absorbs poorly if it is applied over a thick layer of dead skin. That is why regular exfoliation, before applying cream, changes everything in the long run: we detail the entire ritual in our home pedicure guide. After using the electric foot file, the skin absorbs the cream much more effectively.
For an enhanced effect, apply the cream in the evening and put on cotton socks for the night.
